What does career advice look like for us?

In order to prepare students for their professional lives, career counseling takes place at regular intervals at Geising High School. These are carried out by the Pirna Employment Agency, represented by Ms Pfeiffer. Ms. Pfeiffer works closely with our advisor, Ms. Wisian. Appointments are agreed together where the boys and girls at school have the opportunity to get answers to their questions about their professional future.

Furthermore, both grades 8 and 9 carry out a 14-day internship. In collaboration with the Dresden Chamber of Crafts and our practical advisor Mr. Nitschke, the 8th grades gain insights into special crafts. It is then the turn of the 9th grade students to find an internship that suits their own interests at local companies with which we have had years of good experience. In their future training companies or workplaces in our region, the young people gain insights into the company processes.

For further professional orientation, students can find materials and information about current events in the surrounding area in our school building.
